CULTURAL CHANGE

Cultural change

Building a new shared state of mind to meet together the challenges of tomorrow

Instilling new behaviours in daily life whilst respecting the company's history. This was the challenge that the Humanim team had to meet, guided by the desire to accompany its client in an effective and above all sustainable change.

A change of culture synonymous with increased performance for our client

Context

The management committee of a 2 000 employee production site wanted to significantly change its historical culture to anchor new behaviours around risk management.

In order to reconcile quality, production and performance the aim was to readjust the daily behaviours to drive a risk culture better adapted to new market realities and health authorities’ demands.

Service

The Humanim team was mobilised around two business experts and a coach to initiate the expected long-lasting cultural change. We listened to the on-site team and then objectively characterised the site practices, while respecting the company history.

A first group of ambassadors, about twenty people from different parts and levels of the organisation reflected collectively before rolling out the new target behaviours. Thanks to the communication systems and rituals already in place in the organisation, the roll-out was implemented in successive stages, by experimentation in all departments and teams.

Results

Two years later, the new behaviours are known and discussed daily. They bring a new, liberating state of mind without sacrificing the historical culture. The site team has rallied around this new mindset to face the challenges of the site. The original ambassadors are still mobilised to ensure that these behaviours become natural in their everyday life.

Today, these behaviours have been taken on-board and allow important decisions to be taken, driving greater serenity and efficiency. All parts of the organisation, each at their own pace, have evolved. The site manager is delighted with the significant performance gains.
